I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase: “The oily wheel gets the grease”, right? Well, that means if you really want change in your politics, you’re going to have to get your voice heard to your local representatives. The problem is that many don’t know how to contact them – or even who they are! This application will allow you to identify your Nevada State Legislators, congressional representative, and Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents representative.
All you have to do is the following:
- Click in the search box and type in an address or choose “Use current location”
- Click within the map
That’s it! Easy! But please note: the address locations are dependent on outside data sources that may result in a positional accuracy error. Always use the display to carefully verify your location, changing basemaps if necessary (in the bottom left corner of the map). You can download the district shapfiles here, but you’ll need GIS software to view them.
So now you know who to contact from the U.S. House of Representatives, State Senate, State Assembly, and the Board of Regents. Make sure you do so – and voice your opinion(s) on any matters that are on your mind! Your opinion matters!
